Wilson Hurley
Wilson Hurley (1924–2008) was a celebrated American landscape painter known for his majestic depictions of the American West. A New Mexico native and former Air Force pilot, Hurley brought precision, light, and scale to his sweeping vistas of canyons, mountains, and skies. His mastery of atmosphere and depth earned him national acclaim, including major commissions such as Windows to the West at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Deeply influenced by the land and spirit of the Southwest, Hurley’s work continues to define the grandeur and beauty of Western art.
